Fire in the Var : a lull for firefighters

After reinforcement, a little comfort... In the middle of the Maures forest, a little respite for firefighters. Temperatures dropped 10°C. The wind died down, the fire calmed down. They will finally be able to sleep for a few hours. Everyone has their own habits, some are even well equipped. The 17 firefighters take turns to prevent backfire. A few hours later, the day is breaking. The night was short, but restorative for the firefighters who came from Dordogne. Volunteers from the town hall of Cogolin prepared breakfast. "We recover. As soon as we can, we eat. As soon as we can, we go back," says a firefighter. Regaining strength to start a new day, yet another very busy one ahead.
